NASDAQ

The Nasdaq Stock Exchange (NASDAQ) is an electronic stock exchange in the United States. Founded in 1971, it is now the second-largest stock exchange in the world, second only to the New York Stock Exchange. Its name, "NASDAQ," originally stood for the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations. NASDAQ, along with the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average, are among the most important stock indices in the United States.
